why blitz exists

breakout rooms are manual and awkward. someone always ends up alone.

1:1 intro programs (random coffee style) require scheduling โ€” and most intros never happen.

most community members are lurkers. blitz activates them in 20 minutes.

real connections happen in conversations, not in feeds.

the long-term vision

blitz is the starting point. the bigger idea: a network where anyone can have a verified 4-minute video conversation with a stranger โ€” filtered by interests, field, or vibe โ€” and extend only if both want to.

think: real human connection without the scheduling friction. social clubs that form organically. a place where lurkers become participants.

if you run blitzes, you're helping shape the future network.

faq

blitz works from 6 participants. sweet spot is 12โ€“40. above 50, we recommend splitting into multiple concurrent sessions.
late joiners enter the next available round. they'll have fewer conversations but won't disrupt others. you can also nudge them from the host dashboard.
their partner gets re-paired in the next round. if there's an odd number, we create one 3-person room or skip one participant that round (they get matched next). no one stays stuck alone.
yes. by default, hola ensures no one meets the same person twice in a single blitz. for recurring events, we track history so regulars always meet new faces.
by default, matching is random. interest-based and tag-based matching is coming soon. you'll be able to upload participant tags or let them self-select interests.
no. conversations are not recorded by default. privacy is core to the experience.
hosts can remove participants mid-session. participants can report issues. we're building more robust moderation tools as we grow.
no. participants join via browser link. they enter their name and optional intro โ€” that's it. hosts need an account to create and manage blitzes.
breakout rooms require manual assignment and timing. someone always ends up alone or lost. hola auto-pairs everyone, rotates on a timer, and ensures no one is left out. it's purpose-built for networking, not general-purpose video calls.
free. hola is free to use. if you want to support development and get early access to new features, you can become a founding supporter for a one-time โ‚ฌ44 contribution.
